Understand the module system

In order for you to understand the module system it is recommended to read the module book. However, there is a lot more information than that.

Each module except the practice module consists of two tests and one module assignment. 


European Credits

In order to pass you first year you need 60 european credits. These you achieve when you pass the assignment, attendance and tests. Here it shows how it works it the first year: 

In each module you can achieve 12 european credits. 

Resources
- 6 EC's = Passing the module assignment and having a minimum of 75% attendance in PBL
- 3 EC's = Passing test in Financial accounting
- 3 EC's = Passing test in Business English

Guest Experience 
- 6 EC's = Passing test in marketing and having a minimum of 75% attendance in PBL 
- 3 EC's = Passing Research report 
- 3 EC's = Passing test in Business English

Hospitality Operations
- 6 EC's = Passing the module assignment and having a minimum of 75% attendance in PBL 
- 3 EC's = Passing test in Hospitality Foundation 
- 3 EC's = Passing test in Hospitality Finance

Real world learning
- 6 EC's = Personal and Professional Competences 
- 3 EC's = Technical Competences in F&B
- 3 EC's = Technical Competences in RD 

Career Development (CD) (laid throughout the whole year)
- 3 EC's = Passing assignment and having a minimum of 75% attendance in CD
- 3 EC's = Passing assignment and having a minimum of 75% attendance in CD
- 3 EC's = Passing assignment and having a minimum of 75% attendance in CD
- 3 EC's = Passing assignment and having a minimum of 75% attendance in CD




Propaedeutic diploma 
In order to obtain the classification "Propedeuse" one needs to send a request to the Exam Committee. Propedeuse is assigned to the student if he or she has earned 60 European Credits in the first year. In order to see the procedure of application, click here.


Cum Laude
In order to obtain the classification “Cum Laude” to the propaedeutic diploma, one needs to send a request to the Exam committee who will either grant or refuse it. When the exam committee makes the decision, they are following some requirements as a guideline. 
The main requirement is: "The weighted average based on the credits obtained for all grades obtained is 8.0 or higher;". To see further requirements see article 7 - "Cum laude scheme" in TER.
